GM Closes Belgian Plant

GM(General Motors) announced that they would close one of their Belgian plants of Opel Division with a loss of 2700 Jobs.

This is a big step taken by GM since it displayed its brands Opel and Vauxhaul in the showcase for sale, earlier the previous year. GM refused to give its high valued brands to Magna International and its Russian bidder, Serbbank.

Will GM, we do not know, stay alive by doing these kinds of trims to its prestige i.e. by making 2700 Opel workers go home. For now, we do not know whether they would be given some money in return or not.

Finally, GM has done one wrong thing, and it should not have done that, rather they should have sold these brands to their Austrian partners, the Magna International, whic has been supplying dashboard and spare parts to GM for years and years.
